How can I update my checking account information to make a payment?

Go to the payment center to update your checking information.

In order to change your bank information, please follow these simple steps:

1. Log in.
2. Go to Manage Payments in the Account menu.
3. Click on "Pay Online Now"
4. When you get to the payment screen, click "Continue."
5. Next, click on the drop down box next to "Select Payment Type." This will give you the option to select another method of payment.
6. Select the "Electronic Check" option and enter your new bank information to process your payment.

Yes, we can change the name on your account.

If your name was misspelled, please mail or fax us a copy of your driver's license and a note with your account information included.

If a Power of Attorney or other information or documentation is needed, please contact our office. 

If the original title is required, the Department of Motor Vehicles must provide the request to us in writing.

How do I request a due date change?

All accounts are eligible for a due date change subject to the following:

  • The account must be current and all late charges must be paid (must not be owing for any payment).
  • The lease/loan does not have to have six (6) payments posted to the account before a due date change can be processed. A due date change can be done at any time; however, a due date change does count as an extension and may effect your qualification for future extensions.
  • Each account may have only one due date change for the life of the contract and can’t be changed back to the original date
  • Retail, Balloon and Lease accounts cannot have a due date changed to the 29th, 30th, or 31st of the month.
  • The due date change cannot be more than 15 days forward from the current due date.

How do I get my name changed on the title?

You need to send us the appropriate documents.

Contact your local Department of Motor Vehicles office or tag agency for the necessary paperwork to complete and send to our office. 

You must send us the paperwork, title fee and certified copy of your marriage license, divorce decree or other official document. Upon receipt of all required documents, we will send the original title to the state to process the name change.

If you are paying off your vehicle your payment must be received by a specific date.

The "must be received by" date only applies if you are paying off the full balance owed on your account - the "Payoff Amount".

If you wish to pay the "Payoff Amount" we must receive your check or money order on or before the date shown.

Your regular payment due date has not changed.

You can make a payment online with no convenience fee. Simply log in to your account and choose the Online Payment option. Once you have finished the payment process and you will receive your confirmation. Your payment will be shown in your bank account within two business days.

I mailed my payment close to my due date. Is there a grace period?

Yes, you have some time. But you still may see a late fee. Review your contract for your specific "grace period".

There is no grace period, however, MMCA contracts do not provide for a late charge until a specified number of days after the due date. The payment must be posted to the account within that period to avoid a late charge. Please review your contract to verify the number of days before a late charge is assessed.

What should I do with my license plate if I am in a property tax state and moving to another state, or turning in the vehicle?

You will have to return your plate to DMV.

Please return the license plate to your local Department of Motor Vehicles office or tag agency as soon as possible. This will serve as notification to the state that you have returned your vehicle or are moving to another state. Please retain your receipt.

I am in the military. Am I exempt from paying taxes on my leased vehicle?

Sorry, no.

MMCA Lease Ltd. is listed as the owner of the leased vehicle. Taxes are assessed based on your local property tax rates. In some states the lessee (you) will receive and pay property tax bills directly and in other states the lessor (us) will receive and pay the property tax bills. Tax bills paid by us are thru-billed to you.

If I have paid my account in full, when will I receive a refund for any estimated property tax?

Please be patient. There might be a delay.

As soon as we can confirm that all property taxes have been paid, any excess estimated property tax that you may have paid will be refunded to you as long as all other obligations have been paid. Because of the delay in receiving property tax statements from various taxing authorities, confirmation of payment may take several weeks or months.

Why do I have to pay sales tax on my property tax?

It depends on your state.

Many states require the collection of sales tax on property tax when the property tax is paid by us as the Lessor (us) and billed to you, the Lessee. Check your state laws about property taxes on leased vehicles.

On the insurance for my financed or leased vehicle, why do you need to be listed as "Lienholder" or "Loss Payee"?

We have a vested interest in your vehicle.

As the lienholder on your financed vehicle, MMCA has a security interest in your vehicle and on any insurance claims that may be paid during the term of your contract. If you leased your vehicle, MMCA Lease Ltd is the owner of your leased vehicle, and is listed as the Loss Payee on your policy. This is to ensure the proceeds from insurance settlements are used to repair damages to the vehicle.

How long will it take to receive my title after my account is paid off?

Once we receive all the paperwork, it should be in about 15 days.

All required documentation must be received with your payoff check to avoid delays. Generally, titles on vehicles with payoffs made by certified check, cashier's check, official bank check, or from dealers are mailed within a few days after receipt. If your payoff was remitted by personal check, your title will be mailed approximately 14 business days after the account closes to allow time for the funds to clear the bank. This may vary in some states. Please contact Customer Service for more information. Refer to the General Inquiries at the bottom of this page.

If you live in a state that issues electronic titles (AZ, CA, FL, GA, LA, NE, PA. SD or SC), or if you live in a state where you hold the title, you will not receive a paper title. Instead, you will receive either a Release of Lien or a letter stating the lien has been paid in full. Please contact the Department of Motor Vehicles in your state for answers to any title questions you may have.

Your lease agreement discloses the number and amount of your lease payments. Your lease terminates one month after your last monthly payment is due. For example, if your last monthly payment is due January 15th, your lease termination date would be on February 15th.

Security Deposits are typically mailed to you.

Payoffs are usually quoted without deducting your security deposit. Your security deposit will be returned to you after we have received your payoff check and processing has been completed, which could take up to 14 business days.
